One of the great things about HDV is that it brings hi-def video to videographers who thought they’d be trapped in the world of standard-def video for years to come.
If you've ever prayed for live CD duplication—say, to leave a concert with a CD of the show in your hands—your prayers have been answered. And it's only fitting, perhaps, that the first answer came from the church market selling take-home sermons, with the trickle-down hitting the jam band concert scene next. Live event duplication is the latest craze in CD production, and the technology is ready, prponents say, for live event DVD possibilities...and maybe it will.

Judging for the DVD Awards looked at not just the movie, but also how it's augmented by the options and features afforded by the DVD format.
True streaming is the real-time delivery of audio and video over the Internet, while progressive-download technology buffers some of the content to the recipient’s computer memory before the media starts playing. As playback begins, the download continues in the background.
