Timothy Gorman is leaving the APCP worldwide director position to attend to a personal medical condition. Linda Dyson will step into the position effective immediately. CDSA president Charles Van Horn commended Timothy Gorman and credited him with expanding the association’s global presence and launch of the new Content Protection and Security, Digital Download Security, and Post Production Security Standards. The development of these vital standards and certification programs is a tribute to his tireless service and contribution to the entertainment industry." Remarking on Dyson’s appointment, Van Horn said, "I am pleased that Linda Dyson has accepted the role of worldwide director of Anti-Piracy and Compliance Programs. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Dyson possesses a wide range of previous experience in the areas of international standards development, assessment program administration, technology and engineering consulting. She is a recognized content licensing expert with in-depth experience in asset protection and security systems assessments. For the past 19 years, she has been an auditing professional who has performed thousands of diverse enterprise assessments for major music labels, film studios, software and database publishers, media manufacturers, printing/packaging and distribution organizations globally. Since 1998, she has served CDSA (previously known as the International Recording Media Association) in increasing capacities, initially as its auditing consultant to CDSA, and then later as its Regional Director of APCP in North, Central and South America. She has been instrumental in the development of its anti-piracy and content protection and security standards and their application across the supply chain for physical and digital media. She was also the association’s first APCP Lead Auditor. Ms. Dyson is the president of Environmental Solutions Associates, Inc. (EnviroSA), a successful engineering consulting firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. EnviroSA is managing key aspects of the Anti-Piracy and Compliance Programs (APCP) in The Americas as a CDSA program licensee. Since 1989 Dyson has held senior executive, engineering and quality assurance management positions with Sony Music Entertainment International, ESA, Inc., Institute of Paper Science and Technology at Georgia Tech, and R. R. Donnelley Financial. A well–respected business and community leader, Ms. Dyson has sat on corporate boards and held officer positions with numerous national and local trade and civic organizations. A well–respected corporate and community leader, Linda has held numerous board and officer roles with the Atlanta Airport Area Chamber of Commerce, Partnership for Tomorrow executive committee, Atlanta Women's Business Center Advisory board, Fulton County Arts Council, Fulton County Development Committee, the Mayor's East Point Economic Development Committee, and the Fulton School System Local School Advisory Committee board. She was co-founder and past board chair of the East Point Business Association. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including Georgia Secretary of State’s Office Outstanding Citizen Awards. She also placed second in the Atlanta Business League’s Nontraditional Business Owner of the Year Award. A native of Westchester, New York, Dyson entered college at 16 and later graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics (with an Electro-optical engineering concentration) and a Certification in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
