ProCon Intros Shared Network Video Storage for DV, SD Editing
Posted Sep 17, 2004 Print Version     Page 1of 1

ProCon Technology has introduced vStor, which provides shared network video storage for DV and SD video capturing and editing applications like Avid Xpress, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Apple Final Cut Pro. With vStor, multiple editing workstations can share storage and access content through Ethernet and the output can be sent to tape or air directly. Removable hard disk drives, RAID array redundancy capabilities, as well as multi-stream (as many as 26 DV25 streams) editing are among the supported features.

Management software, real-time optimization, fault-tolerance, RAID, and multiple gigabit Ethernet interfaces are included. vStor supports low latency/jitters or high-throughput applications with several models, ranging in capacity from 960GB to six terabytes (6TB) raw storage.

Models are priced from $9,999 to $39,999, depending on capacity, features, and configurations.
