FOCUS Enhancements, a provider of video production and conversion technology, has announced Tcom&dtvro has selected the FS-454 video processor to deliver TV-out for its TD 530 TV-over-IP Set-top Box. The TD 530 features H.264 capability, enabling major telcos and ISPs to deliver streaming video and audio at 1.5 Mbps.

The FS-454 delivers DVD-quality video straight from the Web or a central media server to a SDTV or 480p HDTV. The FS-453/FS-454 video processors provide conversion of digital PC graphics to virtually all SDTV and HDTV formats. These chips accept resolutions ranging from 640x480 to 1280x1024 (SXGA) and can output virtually all NTSC, PAL, or HDTV formats. The FS-454 provides the globally implemented Macrovision 7.1 DVD anti-copy protection technology in the encoder for all TV outputs.
