Record Products of America Introduces Eccentricity Checking Machine

March 28, 2021 | Record Products of America (RPA) introduces the Model P-116-2 Eccentricity (ECC) Checking Machine. The Model P-116-2 measures the eccentricity of the hole punched in any CD or DVD stamper. The system mounts the stamper in the same manner that a stamper is positioned in the injection machine mold. The unit can be added as a field retrofit on any RPA optic stamper punch. This retrofit system permits the operator to punch the stamper on a RPA machine, and then immediately measure the actual eccentricity of the hole. Eccentricity is displayed in a 13-inch monitor for analysis, and defects can be detected below 1-micron. Features include automatic camera positioning, vacuum-chuck hold down, and cross line measurement.
