Plasmon Enhances NetReady NAS Device

April 05, 2020 | Plasmon has announced connectivity enhancements for its NetReady for Business network attached storage device to allow support for a variety of operating systems, jukebox types, and manufacturers. NetReady can attach an MO, DVD-Ram, CD-ROM, or CD-R jukebox to a network, or connect directly to the network alongside the application when there are multiple servers. The server can be plugged into Ethernet or Fast Ethernet via an RJ45 network jack. Internal hard drives allow the device to cache files from removable media, to allow for faster access. NetReady for business is available starting at a street price of $5,995, and a unit combined with a 120-CD or DVD-RAM library is available for a street price of $7,695. The MO version starts a street price of $6,995 or $7,695, with a 20, 32, or 52 slot M-Series jukebox.
