Panasonic Unveils Its Portable CD-R/RW

May 08, 2020 | Panasonic Document Imaging Company (PDIC) has announced its portable CD-R/RW drive, the KXL-RW10A. The KXL-RW10A features 4X write, 4X rewrite, and 20X max read speeds. The 12.7 oz. drive includes a 2MB buffer, and runs under Windows 9x/NT. An interface card is included for connection to a notebook computer with either a CardBus or PCMCIA interface. The drive can also connect to a desktop PC with a SCSI board. Supported formats include CD-DA, Video CD, CD-i, CD Extra, Photo CD, CD-ROM, and CD-ROM XA. Panasonic's KXL-RW10A includes CD recording software, and is available at an estimated retail price of $449.
